Hindustani Bhau has strongly reacted to veteran actor and MP Jaya Bachchan’s recent remarks about paparazzi, adding his voice to the growing backlash against what many have called a classist comment. The controversy erupted after Jaya Bachchan spoke candidly about photographers during a public interaction earlier this month, triggering criticism from media professionals and social media personalities alike.

Bhau, who rose to fame as a content creator and later appeared on Bigg Boss 13, addressed the issue while attending a recent event. When asked about Jaya Bachchan’s comments, he did not hold back.

Bhau questioned her right to judge photographers based on appearance or social standing.

Taking a direct swipe, he said that Jaya Bachchan, who reportedly wears sarees 'costing as little as Rs 150', has “no right to call photographers poor or judge them by their clothes.” His remark quickly went viral, drawing both support and debate online.

Speaking passionately, Hindustani Bhau stated, “Arey, kayeko jaata hai aise logon ke peeche, jahan pe aapko izzat nahi milti hai?”

The controversy traces back to Jaya Bachchan’s appearance at the We The Women event, where she was in conversation with journalist Barkha Dutt. During the discussion, Jaya spoke about her relationship with the media, stating that while she respects journalists, her relationship with paparazzi is “non-existent.”

She remarked, “Who are these people?” while referring to photographers outside celebrity spaces. Jaya Bachchan also mentioned that her father was a journalist, which is why she holds the media in high regard. However, her tone changed noticeably when addressing paparazzi culture.

The comment that sparked widespread outrage was when she said, “Yeh jo bahar gande, tight pants pehenke, hath mein mobile lekar… they think that just because they have a mobile they can take your picture and say whatever they want.” She further questioned their education and background, remarks many interpreted as dismissive and elitist.
