Exclusive: Rajkummar Rao on returning as Bicky in Stree 2: This time it's double fun and entertainment

Rajkummar Rao, known for his dynamic acting, shared insights into how his character Bicky has evolved in the upcoming film Stree 2.

At the press meet in Delhi today, when asked by Moneycontrol how does he feel to return as Bicky in the sequel, Rao revealed how the role has evolved and how he himself has grown as an actor since the first Stree released.

“Certainly I’ve grown as an actor, I feel. Because the more you work, the more you work with better directors, I think you grow as an actor, Rajkummar Rao replied to our question.

He emphasized that his goal has always been to explore different characters and improve with each film. “So I feel certainly there’s a growth. And also you have those 6 years of experience of living life, where the maturity comes in,” he adds.

In Stree 2, Bicky is quite different from his portrayal in the original film. Rajkummar Rao describes the character’s transformation: “Last time he was talking about different things. This time, Chanderika Devdas, Vicky Bhabra, Dutta Dilshana, whose love I remember” He explains that this time around, Vicky is more focused on self-reflection and his personal journey. “This time he is talking about himself. That what has he become. But it’s more fun,” Rao says.

Rajkummar Rao said that the sequel will offer even more excitement and entertainment than before. “I think certainly, I would say, all the characters, it’s double the fun, double the entertainment, double the thread, and double the canvas,” he notes. This suggests that Stree 2 will be a bigger and more entertaining experience, with Vicky’s character playing a central role in this expanded narrative.
