
Beyond the excitement surrounding the release of Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain, actor Dinesh Lal Yadav, fondly known as Nirahua, reflected on his personal journey in cinema, his enduring love for comedy, and the changing face of the film industry. Speaking to Moneycontrol, the actor opened up about what continues to drive him as an artist even after decades in the industry.
Talking about his connection with comedy, Nirahua made it clear that his fondness for the genre goes far beyond professional obligations. He said, “My favourite genre is comedy. Not because we are talking about this film. The truth is that. My favorite genre is comedy. And when I travel. I download comedy films on my phone.”
Looking back at his journey and early dreams, Nirahua became emotional while acknowledging how far he has come. Reflecting on his love for cinema and the opportunities he received, he said, “Mere liye bachpan se hi films bahut important rahi hain. Mujhe films dekhna itna pasand tha, TV dekhna itna achha lagta tha ki kai baar main ghar se bhaag kar films dekhne chala jaata tha. Main khud ko bahut lucky maanta hoon ki mujhe film industry mein kaam karne ka mauka mila, itna kaam mila aur itna pyaar bhi mila."
Describing the essence of cinema itself, Nirahua spoke poetically about its ability to transport audiences into imagined worlds. He explained, “This is the magic of cinema. You know everything. What we are seeing is imaginary. Or this is a script. Yet we get lost in it.”
Sharing his thoughts on how cinema has evolved, Nirahua pointed out that language is no longer a limitation in reaching audiences. He said, “Nowadays, there is no language barrier. You make a film in any language. Anyone in the world can watch it in their own language. So there should be good content.”
Acknowledging technological advancements, the actor noted how rapidly filmmaking has transformed over the years. He added, “I think there has been a lot of change. Because technology has become very advanced. And it has become very fast.”
Recalling moments from the sets of Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain, Nirahua smiled as he spoke about the joy of working on a comedy project. He said, “When every scene was being shot, I was enjoying every scene. And we were laughing so much. Sometimes we used to get scolded.”
Speaking about the ensemble cast, Nirahua expressed admiration for his co-actors, saying, “All the characters in this show. Vibhuti ji, Tiwari ji, Bhabhi ji, Ravi Kishan ji, Mukesh Tiwari ji. All of them are my favorite actors.”
Looking ahead, the actor shared his open-minded approach to work and creativity. He stated, “I do whatever I get a chance to do. Because I am an artist. And an artist has to explore himself.”
Finally, thanking fans who have supported him for over two decades, Nirahua concluded with gratitude and pride, “I am very grateful. It has been more than 20 years. People have been loving you for so long. And their love is increasing.”
Signing off with a heartfelt message to audiences, he added, “On 6th. When our audience will go to the theater. They will have a lot of fun. And they will be proud.”
