BTS is ready to take the world by storm once more, but this time the focus is on the visionary behind the camera as much as the band.
Hamish Hamilton, the renowned director who has brought every Super Bowl Halftime Show since 2010 to life, is the creative force behind the highly anticipated return of the seven-member global phenomenon with a two-part Netflix event following their mandatory military service.
The live concert, which is scheduled to debut on March 21, 2026, will be broadcast from Seoul's famous Gwanghwamun Square against the backdrop of the ancient Gyeongbokgung Palace, fusing stunning visuals with rich cultural heritage.
As Hamilton, who has collaborated with Beyoncé, Rihanna, and other international superstars, adds his own flair to BTS's performance, fans can anticipate a genuinely cinematic experience that transforms the stage into an immersive spectacle.
The concert will include songs from BTS's upcoming album, Arirang, which will be released on March 20, in addition to some of the hits that have made the group a worldwide sensation.
Hamilton’s direction promises not only dazzling visuals but also a sense of storytelling that captures BTS’s energy, charisma, and connection with their fans in every frame.
A week later, on 27 March, the Netflix documentary will offer a more intimate glimpse behind the curtain. Viewers will see BTS’s journey up close—the rehearsals, the making of the comeback, and heartfelt reflections from the members themselves—all under Hamilton’s meticulous eye, ensuring the story of the band is told as dynamically as their music.
This marks just the beginning of BTS’s global return. Following the Netflix event, their world tour kicks off with three nights in Goyang, South Korea, before heading to Tokyo, the United States, and multiple continents.

An immersive experience that reflects the cinematic vision Hamilton is bringing to the screen will be created by the tour's 360-degree in-the-round stage.
Fans worldwide will have the opportunity to watch the flawless fusion of music, narrative, and creative direction when BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang is streamed on Netflix on March 21 at 8 p.m. KST.
