Boman Irani shares exclusive pics from his Cannes 2025 red carpet debut

At the Cannes Film Festival, veteran actor Boman Irani recently walked the red carpet at the world premiere of the highly anticipated movie Tanvi The Great.

Boman looked like a seasoned star, representing Indian cinema with elegance and charm alongside the film's crew in a series of eye-catching pictures from the event.

Boman Irani chose a classic and elegant formal dress for the esteemed event. He was spotted sporting a fitted black tuxedo jacket with a delicately textured design that gave his appearance depth and refinement.

The jacket's satin peak lapels gave it a timeless and refined appearance. Its elaborate details and sumptuous fabric achieved the ideal harmony between subtle luxury and red carpet splendour.

Boman wore a clean white dress shirt with vertical pleats underneath the jacket, a nod to classic formal attire. He kept the classic appeal of a well-done tuxedo by adding a black bow tie to the ensemble.

In addition to providing a striking contrast to the monochromatic colour scheme, a golden satin pocket square added flair and showcased his individual style. Wearing matching dark trousers and sleek sunglasses, he finished the ensemble and waved warmly to fans and photographers, projecting a polished, self-assured presence.

He captioned the post as, "You dream. You prepare. You tell stories. And one day, you find yourself waving on the red carpet at #Cannes. #TanviTheGreat brought us here—and I couldn’t be prouder! "

Meanwhile, Anupam Kher, who has directed Tanvi The Great, shared a stylish video clip on Instagram, capturing a moment with co-stars Boman Irani, Karan Tacker, Pallavi Joshi, and Shubhangi Dutt.

In the slow-motion video, the actors are seen striding together, impeccably dressed and beaming with pride ahead of the film’s debut. Kher captioned the post: “We MISS the rest of the gang of #TanviTheGreat at #CannesFilmFestival! But we also know you are WITH us! We will see them soon on screen at the #WorldPremiere Jai Ho!”

Key roles in the movie are played by well-known actors Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, and Iain Glen from Game of Thrones. Resul Pookutty, who won an Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire, is in charge of sound design. Tanvi The Great, which is being produced by Anupam Kher Studios in collaboration with NFDC, has not yet disclosed its official release date.

Alongside this movie, another Indian production, Homebound, which stars Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa, is scheduled to make its Cannes debut on May 21.
