Dakota Johnson has never shied away from high-glamour events, as evidenced by her most recent appearance on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival Presidential Dinner and the 2025 Kering Women in Motion Awards.

As per Marie Claire, the Fifty Shades of Grey actor was fully decked out in Gucci, dazzled in a gorgeous custom gown encrusted with tiny silver sequins. The floor-length ensemble was unquestionably stunning with its high neckline and sleek column silhouette, but the dress wasn't the main attraction.

Although it would seem that a piece of glistening couture would be the centre of attention, Johnson's piece was more of a supporting actor. Her choice of jewellery, particularly a stunning pair of earrings that enhanced the entire ensemble, truly stole the show.

Johnson chose to wear shoes that were concealed by the flawless tailoring of her gown instead of a handbag for the occasion. Her earrings were therefore given complete control over how she made a statement, and they were more than capable of doing so.

Luxury jeweller Boucheron's stunning Serpent Bohème Solarité Hoop Earrings were on her. The large, shoulder-grazing earrings were made of 18k white gold and had a complex starburst pattern with pavé diamonds on the front and back that sparkled from all sides.

“The Serpent Bohème Solarité Hoop Earrings contain 380 individual diamonds throughout—which, in total, amounts to a whopping 6.81 carats. At $56,000 these earrings are designed to ‘spread their diamond-paved rays ... like a bejewelled sun,’” the brand’s official website states.

Johnson is well-known for her long-standing fashion partnership with Gucci and has worn the brand's creations on a number of noteworthy occasions. She actually wore an equally stunning column dress with a nude bodysuit underneath, a dramatic plunging neckline, and a webbed motif that referenced her Marvel character to the 2024 Madame Web premiere.

With classic silhouettes, striking sparkle, and a hint of celebrity power to go along with it, Dakota Johnson has obviously found her style sweet spot. She demonstrated once more at Cannes that style and edge can coexist on the red carpet with ease.
