Social media has been buzzing in the past few hours after images claiming to show Salman Khan as “Bade Sahab” in Dhurandhar 2 began circulating online. Shared late on Monday, the visuals sent fans into a frenzy, even though there’s no official confirmation from the filmmakers.
The enigmatic character, referred to as Bade Sahab, is rumoured to represent an underworld don, possibly inspired by Dawood Ibrahim.
In the images, Salman Khan is seen standing authoritatively on a balcony, flanked by Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal and Sanjay Dutt as SP Aslam—giving fans a glimpse of a formidable on-screen trio.
The real picture?
It’s important to note, however, that these images are AI-generated and purely speculative. A disclaimer attached to the visuals clearly states that neither Jio Studios, B62 Studios, nor Aditya Dhar have confirmed Salman Khan’s involvement.
As of now, neither the actor nor the film’s team has responded to the swirling rumours.
Meanwhile, excitement for the sequel has only grown with the reveal of the first-look poster of Dhurandhar: The Revenge earlier on Monday. Director Aditya Dhar and lead actor Ranveer Singh also announced that the official trailer would drop at 12:12 PM.
Dhurandhar 2 First Poster Out
The poster offers a striking first glimpse of what’s to come. Ranveer Singh stands centre-frame in a black trench coat, hair loose, against a blazing red backdrop.
The image exudes menace and intensity, signalling a much darker, fiercer, and uncompromising journey for his character compared to the first film. The visual language hints at a story willing to push boundaries, promising higher stakes and rawer action.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge is scheduled to hit theatres on 19 March 2027, coinciding with Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi, in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar serving as producers, the film is shaping up to be a full-scale cinematic event, keeping fans eagerly counting down the days.
