The Dhurandhar wave is clearly not slowing down. Even as the record-breaking Hindi blockbuster continues to find a massive audience on Netflix following its historic theatrical run, the makers have officially confirmed that the story is far from over.
The next chapter, titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has now been announced, promising a sequel that is bigger, darker and far more explosive.
On Monday, Jio Studios and B62 Studios unveiled the title and first poster of the much-anticipated sequel, instantly setting social media abuzz. Alongside the teaser announcement, the makers declared, “Ab Bigadne Ka Waqt Aa Gaya Hai!!”, a line that perfectly signals the shift towards higher stakes and a more intense narrative.
The newly revealed poster offers fans a powerful first glimpse of what lies ahead. Ranveer Singh returns in a strikingly transformed look, standing centre-frame in a black trench coat with his hair left loose, set against a blazing red backdrop.
The image carries a strong sense of menace and raw intensity, hinting at a far more ruthless and uncompromising journey for his character. Compared to the first film, the visual language suggests a story that is heavier, fiercer and willing to push boundaries even further.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has already secured its place in cinema history as the biggest Hindi film of all time. Its gripping mix of real-life inspired events, espionage-driven storytelling and high-voltage action struck a chord with audiences, elevating the film into a full-fledged pop-culture phenomenon.
With Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Aditya Dhar is set to expand the franchise into a larger cinematic universe. The sequel is expected to scale up both emotionally and visually, deepening the spy-action elements while exploring darker themes and more complex conflicts.
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19, coinciding with Eid, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi, and will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
This wide multilingual rollout reflects the film’s immense popularity across regions and firmly positions 2026 as The Year of Dhurandhar.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge is written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar, with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar serving as producers.
Presented by Jio Studios, the B62 Studios production is being mounted as a full-scale cinematic event, with the makers promising a storm that will hit theatres from March 19, 2027.
