On its 35th day, Dhurandhar is still running strong at the box office, and it significantly owes its success to the music.
The film’s entire soundtrack has been winning hearts across India, thanks to its rich blend of Arabic-inspired beats, international collaborations, and a seamless mix of classic and contemporary styles—while the singers themselves are making waves nationwide.
Who is Daiaphi Lamare aka Reble?
Among the many voices that shine, one stands out in particular: Daiaphi Lamare, better known as Reble.
Reble is only 22 years old and yet she has already stirred a lot of excitement with her thrilling rap performances in songs such as Run Down the City, Monica and Naal Nachna.
Her unfiltered energy, clever flow, and unbreakable confidence have gotten a lot of praise and have really impressed first, time listeners.
Reble, who comes from the West Jaintia Hills area of Meghalaya, was introduced to the world of music at a very early age. She was attracted to music when she was only five and through the years she has listened to and loved rock, hip hop, and indie music.
Before she was eleven, she was composing her own lyrics and rapping, thus gaining experience and forming her own artistic style.
Her journey as a professional artist started in 2018 when she was performing under the name of 'Daya' and working with Symphonic Movement. In 2019, she came back as Reble with her first single Bad, reflecting her artistic transformation.
She then released songs like Terror, Set It Off, and New Riot, which paved her way into the independent music scene of India and got her acknowledged for her bold self, expression and storytelling.
Its not only her music that makes Reble be distinguished but her aim as well. She has a strong connection with her culture through her art, and she has been vocal about the voices of India's Northeast which she has featured through her platform as that is a region seldom represented in mainstream media.
And this genuineness is exactly what makes her appearance in Dhurandhar so new and powerful.
Reble’s growing body of work also includes the Malayalam film Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, where her contribution added a distinct edge to the soundtrack, showcasing her versatility even further.
As for Dhurandhar, the film itself promises a high-octane, gripping narrative. Directed by Aditya Dhar, it draws inspiration from India’s RAW operations and real geopolitical conflicts, centring on Operation Lyari—a covert mission targeting criminal syndicates in Karachi, Pakistan.
Featuring an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sara Arjun, the film has already struck a chord with audiences—and with Reble’s music driving much of the energy, her rise is undeniably part of the film’s enduring success story.
