Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey has firmly denied rumours claiming he was cast in the much-anticipated Ramayana film directed by Nitesh Tiwari, and then replaced by Raghav Juyal. The speculation, which circulated widely online, prompted Massey to take to Instagram Stories with a clarification — though he later deleted the post for reasons that remain unclear.

Reports had suggested Massey was set to play Meghanad (Indrajit), the eldest son of Ravana, in the expansive two-part adaptation starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The film’s second part is expected to release during Diwali 2027.

The actor’s response came after entertainment portals reported that Raghav Juyal had been brought in for the role originally linked to Massey. Addressing the issue, he wrote, "OK. To put things to rest, I was never a part of this movie. Am not, never was. Such irresponsible media coverage from "respectable" media houses is kinda appalling. Nonetheless, wishing everyone on Ramayana all the very best. Will surely buy a ticket and watch it in cinemas."

The Ramayana project — one of the biggest in recent Bollywood history — has drawn spotlight not just for its cast but also for its ambitious scale, narrative scope and scheduled releases over two consecutive Diwali seasons.

With the first part set for Diwali 2026 and the second in Diwali 2027, fans remain eager for more official updates as the ensemble cast and production details continue to take shape.
