Shah Rukh Khan continues to cement his extraordinary legacy as he was recently honoured with the Global Style Icon Award in Dubai on January 30.
The Bollywood superstar received the award at the first Dubai Mall Global Fashion Awards. This was a significant moment for both the actor and the city's growing fashion scene.
The ceremony took place at the luxurious Armani Hotel Dubai. It marked the end of the two-day Dubai Mall Festival of Fashion. The event turned the iconic shopping spot into a spectacular celebration of style, culture, and global influence.
Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar Properties, presented the award. He called Khan the biggest inspiration for the show. The two shared a warm embrace at the end of the presentation, showing the connection between the actor and the city’s fashion elite.
Despite receiving one of fashion’s most esteemed honours, Shah Rukh took a light-hearted dig at his own style choices, saying, "I don't know much about fashion. I only usually wear blue jeans and white shirt."
Adding to the humour, he jokingly hinted that a friend might have influenced the decision, saying, "I feel like my award is a little biased. He must have pulled a few strings for me to get this. He must have put in a little word for me," delivering the line with his signature charm.
For the award ceremony, Shah Rukh Khan was dressed in a Manish Malhotra ensemble. The renowned designer also took home the Couture Designer of the Year award, making it a celebratory night for both fashion and cinema.

Before the event, Shah Rukh attended a private winners’ dinner on January 29, where he was photographed alongside Mohamed Alabbar, adding another memorable moment to his visit.
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next big release, King, which also stars his daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The film is slated for a December 24, 2026 release, and is already one of the most anticipated films on the calendar.
