There were rumours that Bollywood actress Aneet Padda could very soon take on an iconic role in Indian Cinema but seems like all the plans have been shattered.
An industry source clarified that the reports linking Aneet Padda to a Madhubala biopic are completely unfounded. “There is absolutely no truth to the reports currently circulating about Aneet Padda being cast in a Madhubala biopic. The claims are completely baseless,” the source said.
After wowing audiences around the globe last year with her breakout performance, in the film Saiyaara, the young actress was reportedly in the running for the role of legendary actress Madhubala, in an upcoming biopic movie about the late star.
Aneet first captured mainstream attention co-starring with new actor, Ahaan Panday, in the romantic drama, directed by Mohit Suri; her performance has resonated with viewers and has made her the most talked-about new actor in Bollywood today.
According to a report in Filmfare, Aneet signed on to star in a biographical movie about the life and career of Madhubala, one of the most cherished and charismatic actresses in the history of Hindi film.
Even after decades of her death, Madhubala is still one of the most celebrated iconic movie stars in history and will be remembered always for her timeless beauty, and wonderful performances in film.
The same report also claims that development on the film has quietly started, but very few details are available at this time.
