Following the firing incident at filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence, Shetty Tower in Juhu, Mumbai, security around the director has been tightened significantly.

Mumbai Police has already enhanced protection at his home, and similar security measures are now expected to be implemented on the sets of his upcoming film Golmaal 5, which is slated to go on floors soon.

According to sources quoted by mid-day, security arrangements are being planned well in advance, even as the production team awaits final confirmation on the film’s shooting schedule.

A member of the film’s creative team revealed that Golmaal 5 was originally scheduled to begin filming in Mumbai after February 15. However, whether the shoot will proceed as planned will depend on Rohit Shetty’s decision and clearance from law enforcement authorities.

“At the moment, there has been no formal communication about a delay," the source said, adding that preparations are continuing cautiously.

An insider cited by News18 further revealed that Rohit Shetty will be operating within a tightly access-controlled environment on set. “Only a limited number of people will be allowed near him. Everyone entering the set — from junior artistes to vendors and daily-wage crew — will need prior registration and valid ID verification. Spot entries will not be permitted," the source said.

If filming goes ahead as scheduled, an extensive security arrangement will be rolled out. Around 60 security personnel are expected to be deployed on set, working within a two-tier security system — one layer consisting of local police personnel and another comprising Shetty’s personal security team.

Meanwhile, as per a Mid-Day report, Rohit Shetty’s other project starring John Abraham has been temporarily put on hold due to security concerns. The Singham director was reportedly supposed to visit Ooty for a recce ahead of filming the remaining portions of the movie, but those plans have now been deferred.

If the shoot proceeds as planned, an elaborate security setup will be put in place. Around 60 security personnel are expected to be deployed on set, operating within a two-tier system — one layer comprising local police and another consisting of Shetty’s personal security team.
