Just days after stepping up security at their Mumbai home following worrying extortion threats, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were spotted out and about, sharing a touching family moment in support of Deepika Padukone’s father, badminton legend Prakash Padukone.
The trio attended a session titled Beyond Winning: What Sports Cultivate in Children at Dhirubhai Ambani International School, joined by Ranveer Singh’s mother, Anju Bhavnani.
While the focus was on sports and children, fans couldn’t help but notice the warmth and camaraderie radiating from the family.
Photos from the event captured Ranveer Singh applauding enthusiastically, while Deepika Padukone’s gentle smile lit up the room as audience members posed questions.
Another image shows the family listening intently, fully engaged in the session, while a particularly sweet moment saw Deepika Padukone on stage with her father, beaming with pride as they posed alongside other attendees. Even Sonam Kapoor, who is expecting her second child, made an appearance, adding to the heartwarming scene.
For the outing, Deepika Padukone kept it simple yet elegant in a white ethnic ensemble, while Ranveer Singh looked effortlessly dapper in a black trouser suit paired with a crisp white T-shirt and blazer. Unsurprisingly, the photos quickly went viral, with fans flooding social media with heart emojis and messages of love for the couple.
This family outing comes on the heels of alarming threats that prompted Ranveer Singh to beef up security around their residence. He had reportedly received a voice note demanding crores, and an earlier warning from an alleged Bishnoi gang member led to further precautions.
Despite these challenges, the couple appeared relaxed and present, showing that family support can bring calm even in stressful times.
Professionally, Ranveer Singh is coming off the massive success of Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, which reportedly grossed Rs 1300 crore worldwide, and he’s set to return with Dhurandhar 2 on 19 March.
Deepika Padukone, meanwhile, was last seen in Singham Again and will next star alongside Shah Rukh Khan in King, directed by Siddharth Anand, scheduled for December 2026, keeping fans eagerly anticipating their next big-screen appearances.
