
Priyanka Chopra is returning to Hyderabad to resume production on her highly anticipated upcoming film, Varanasi. The actress has recently revealed that she will soon land in Hyderabad with a stunning selfie.
Priyanka confirmed her return to Hyderabad on her Instagram Story. She shared a selfie from the flight and the caption, "And she’s off..I’ll see you soon, Hyderabad.”
The film's production restarted, enabling Priyanka to reconcile her international obligations with her work in Indian cinema. The collaboration of well-known actors like Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu, Priyanka, and Sukumaran has increased interest in the movie.
This marks the first time Priyanka will share the screen with Mahesh Babu, marking her return to the Indian cinema. This follows Priyanka’s hectic itinerary across countries, which included spending the New Year with family and attending the Golden Globe Awards.
Given the star cast and director, her post signifies the beginning of Varanasi's next phase of production, which has excited fans.
Priyanka has expressed her enthusiasm for collaborating with SS Rajamouli, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Mahesh Babu, reflecting on her relationship with the cast and crew. She posted, "Working with these two legends of the Telugu and Malayalam industries, and coming together for an SS Rajamouli film, is such a privilege."

With a summer 2027 release date, fans and industry observers are still keeping a careful eye on Varanasi. The movie is reportedly scheduled to open in theatres on April 9, 2027, which is also Ram Navami. The makers are yet to make an official announcement.
Priyanka will also be seen in The Bluff, which is slated to release on February 25, 2026. The action-adventure film will also star Karl Urban.
