Singer Mika Singh has made a heartfelt appeal to the Hindi film industry to go beyond social-media expressions of sympathy and make concrete contributions to help veteran actor Rajpal Yadav through a difficult legal and financial crisis.

In a video message shared online, Mika thanked colleagues for their initial responses to Rajpal’s plight but stressed that support must translate into action, not just posts.

Rajpal Yadav’s troubles stem from multiple long-pending cheque bounce cases connected to loans he took for film projects, culminating in an unpaid liability of nearly Rs 9 crore and his recent surrender to serve time in Tihar Jail after Delhi HC denied further extension for payment. The case has drawn widespread attention across Bollywood, sparking calls for solidarity.

In his appeal, Mika said he was “truly happy and proud” to see industry figures come together but urged peers — including actors, directors, and producers who have worked with him, not only to announce support on social media but also to ensure contributions are organised properly and reach the right place.

Mika wrote, "I'm truly happy and proud after my post. It feels amazing to see everyone coming together this is the unity our industry is known for. But I have one humble request please don't just post announcements. Let's make sure we actually contribute and make it happen. Many people are asking where to send the money. Let's organise this properly and transparently so everything goes directly to the right place. Support is not just about words it's about action. Let's stand united and do this the right way."

Several high-profile film personalities have already stepped up in different ways. Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Varun Dhawan, and others have offered financial help, while actor Sonu Sood was among the first to publicly pledge backing for Yadav’s situation. Mika Singh himself has pledged Rs 11 lakh as a gesture of support and unity, and has encouraged others to contribute alongside him.
