On Valentine’s Day, filmmaker Ekta Kapoor and director Imtiaz Ali officially unveiled the title of the next chapter in the much-loved Laila Majnu universe — Heer Ranjha. The announcement marks the continuation of a romantic legacy that has steadily grown into a cult favourite among today’s generation.
The duo had earlier collaborated on Laila Majnu, a romantic drama that, over time, found deep resonance with audiences and evolved into a modern cult love story. Now, with Heer Ranjha, they aim to carry forward that emotional intensity into another timeless tale of passion and longing.
The reveal of the title on February 14 alone has already ignited excitement among fans of the franchise. Filming for Heer Ranjha is expected to begin soon, with the project being directed by Sajid Ali.
Sharing the announcement video, Balaji Motion Pictures captioned the post, "Some Love stories never die...From Laila Majnu to Heer Ranjha - The Love Legacy Continues."
Speaking about the new chapter, Ektaa Kapoor expressed her confidence in the creative team and the emotional depth of the story.
