Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025, is enjoying a successful run at the box office, earning Rs. 754.50 crores in just 26 days. However, the film is reportedly undergoing a significant revision.
According to Bollywood Hungama, a revised version of the Ranveer Singh film would be screened in the New Year.
A source told the outlet, “Theatres across the country received an e-mail from the distributors today, December 31, informing them they are replacing the DCP of the film. The reason for the change is that the makers have muted two words and changed a dialogue in the film, as per the directives received from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of India.”
The insider further noted, “The cinemas were requested to download the new content and play the revised version of the film from January 1, 2026.”
However, an industry source further revealed that 'Baloch' has been removed from the new version, and two other words have been muted.
“One of the words removed from the new version of Dhurandhar is ‘Baloch,’” added the source.
Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun are among the cast members of Dhurandhar. The film revolves around an Indian who sneaks into Pakistan and causes mayhem. Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian spy working within Lyari to destroy extremist networks.
Directed and penned by Aditya Dhar, the film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande's Jio Studios and Lokesh Dhar and Aditya Dhar's B62 Studios.

Additionally, the producers have already scheduled the following chapter—Dhurandhar 2—for a high-profile Eid 2026 release, indicating that the franchise is just getting started, while the first movie continues to provoke discussion across national boundaries.
