Kajol has joined the list of celebrities who have filed a lawsuit to defend their personality rights. The Delhi High Court issued an interim injunction that forbids the illegal use of her name, likeness, voice, or picture for profit.

According to ANI, Justice Jyoti Singh issued an order prohibiting anybody or anything from using Kajol's identity for commercial purposes, including making digital material or selling items, without her permission.

The ruling specifically prohibits the production or dissemination of phoney videos or photos that feature her likeness, and it also covers the misuse of artificial intelligence and deepfake technology. Additionally, the court mandated that any offensive or indecent material that might have been posted online and included her be taken down.

In light of the growing abuse of celebrity photos and deepfake content, Kajol is one of many famous personalities who have sought legal protection for their identities. Stars like Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Rishab Shetty, Jaya Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Vivek Oberoi, and others have made similar appeals to the courts in recent months.
