Love stories often begin quietly — with a glance, a memory, a feeling that lingers. With “Rubaroo”, the makers of Dacoit – Ek Prem Katha attempt to capture exactly that fleeting, fragile magic.

Starring Mrunal Thakur and Adivi Sesh, the film is set for a grand theatrical release on 10 April 2026, and its latest song offers a heartfelt glimpse into the romance at its core.

The track unfolds a tender chapter in the protagonist’s life — a time before he became a dacoit, when he was simply a man in love.

There is an emotional softness to the visuals, with Mrunal Thakur and Adivi Sesh portraying a connection that feels unforced and sincere.

Their chemistry does not scream for attention; instead, it quietly draws viewers in, reminding them of the innocence and intensity of first love.

Vocals by Faheem Abdullah and Chinmayi Sripada lend the song its emotional depth, while Bheems Ceciroleo’s composition allows the melody to breathe. Speaking about the experience, Faheem Abdullah shared, “When I was recording Rubaroo, I felt like I was stepping into someone’s most vulnerable memory of love, the very inception of it. There’s a tenderness in the melody, but also a depth that lingers. I think listeners will truly feel that.”

Chinmayi Sripada reflected on the emotional nuance of the track, saying, “There’s a quiet depth to Rubaroo that I really connected with. Recording it in two languages meant honouring not just the lyrics, but the emotional rhythm of each version. That nuance made the experience very special for me.”

For Adivi Sesh, the song carries personal significance. “For me, music is one of the purest ways to communicate emotion. Rubaroo captures a kind of love that feels honest and vulnerable. With Faheem Abdullah and Chinmayi Sripada lending their voices to its hindi version, the song found its soul. I’m excited for audiences to experience that emotion.”

Mrunal Thakur added, “I’ve always believed that first love has a certain purity to it, and Rubaroo captures that beautifully. It doesn’t try to be dramatic, it simply lets the emotion breathe, and that’s what I connected with the most.”

With Anurag Kashyap also playing a pivotal role and Shaneil Deo making his directorial debut, Dacoit – Ek Prem Katha promises a sweeping yet intimate love story — one that hopes to stay with audiences long after the music fades.
