
Border 2 is making significant waves at the box office, registering a tremendous performance within just a week of its theatrical release.
According to trade tracking sources, the war drama’s box office collection on day 8 stood at Rs 11.25 crore, with the film steadily heading towards the Rs 350 crore mark.
“‘Border 2’ aimed to keep a steady pace at the box office. On day 8, which was its second Friday, the Sunny Deol starrer earned Rs 11 crore. On Thursday, day 7, the total was Rs 11.25 crore,” the reports said.
With these figures, the net box office earnings of Border 2 in India now total Rs 235.25 crore. Even with a slight delay in numbers, the film has held strong at the ticket counters.
After 8 days in theatres, Border 2 has made an impressive Rs 235.00 crore in net collections in India. Its total earnings worldwide have surpassed Rs 323.00 crore, including Rs 41.75 crore from overseas markets. The India gross collection stands strong at Rs 281.25 crore, reflecting the film’s continued popularity and strong audience pull, noted the box office tracker.
During its first week, the film had collected a remarkable Rs 224.25 crore. On Day 8, which marked the second Friday, it added another Rs 10.75 crore to its tally, taking the total to Rs 235 crore.

On Friday, January 30, 2026, Border 2 recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 15.05%. Breaking down the occupancy by show timings in 2D theaters on Day 8, morning shows saw 6.58%, afternoon shows registered 13.24%, evening shows were at 16.71%, and night shows peaked at 23.65%, reflecting a steady increase in audience turnout as the day progressed.
Border 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 1997 classic war drama Border, stars Varun Dhawan, Sunny Deol, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles, with a cameo by Akshaye Khanna. The film hit theaters on January 23, 2026, and continues to hold strong at the box office.
