Ayushmann Khurrana marked this year’s Diwali with a spiritual touch as he visited Mumbai’s revered Siddhivinayak Temple to seek blessings after the successful opening of his latest film, Thamma. The actor was spotted at the temple premises early in the morning of Diwali 2025, dressed in a simple peach kurta-pyjama paired with a yellow religious shawl.
His peaceful demeanour and folded hands reflected a deep sense of gratitude as he greeted fans and devotees gathered outside.
Accompanied by close friends and his team, Ayushmann offered prayers at the sanctum and thanked Lord Ganesha for the love and appreciation Thamma has received from audiences and critics alike. The film, which continues to perform strongly at the box office, has been hailed as one of Ayushmann’s finest performances, blending heartfelt emotion with a powerful social message.
Ayushmann also greeted some fans outside the temple and waved and smiled, chants of his name echoed through the crowd. Videos and photos from the visit quickly went viral on social media, with fans praising his devotion and humility.
Many appreciated how the actor chose to celebrate Diwali not with grandeur or luxury, but with faith and simplicity — a gesture that resonated deeply with his admirers.
Thamma has earned Rs 24 crore on its opening day and considering there are Diwali holidays, the movie is likely to pick up pace. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma has Rashmik Mandanna in the lead.
