Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari to begin filming for Sooraj Barjatya next film in November: Report

Together for the first time on screen, Ayushmann and Sharvari embark on a new chapter in this as-yet-untitled movie.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari are set to team up for an upcoming Sooraj Barjatya directorial, which will reportedly begin filming on November 1, 2025. The film, a romantic family drama, will be produced under Rajshri Productions in collaboration with Mahaveer Jain Films, known for their earlier association on Uunchai.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, the film will carry Sooraj Barjatya’s signature touch of warmth, values, and family emotions.

A source quoted by Mid-Day revealed, “The film goes on floors on November 1. It’s a romantic family entertainer that will have the classic Sooraj Barjatya essence. Alongside Ayushmann, the film also stars Sharvari in the lead role.”

The source further shared that Barjatya and producer Mahaveer Jain decided to reunite after the success of Uunchai and their strong working rapport during that project. “After Uunchai, both Sooraj Barjatya and Mahaveer Jain were keen to collaborate again, and this upcoming venture felt like the perfect fit,” the statement concluded.

Together for the first time on screen, Ayushmann and Sharvari embark on a new chapter in this as-yet-untitled movie. Additionally, it carries on Sooraj Barjatya's tradition of producing touching family-friendly entertainment under the Rajshri banner.

Professionally speaking, Ayushmann Khurrana's upcoming film is Thamma, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and starring Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. On October 21, 2025, the movie is expected to be released.

Sharvari has a busy schedule ahead of her as she will co-star with Alia Bhatt in the spy thriller Alpha, which is upcoming from Yash Raj Films.

In addition, the Sooraj Barjatya movie will be Mahaveer Jain Films' next major undertaking after working with Dharma Productions on Mrighdeep Singh Lamba's Nagzilla, starring Kartik Aaryan.
