
Actor Arjun Kapoor has recently paid tribute to his late mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor, on her birth anniversary. He shared a touching post remembering his mother and paid an emotional tribute on Instagram on Tuesday.
Arjun acknowledged that lately, life has been "cruel," but he will be alright. He took to his Instagram and shared a fan-made collage of him and his mother.
Sharing the picture, the actor penned in a caption, “Happy birthday Maa, I miss u so much today (heartbreak emoticon) Life’s been kinda cruel to me lately but it’s ok…”
The actor added, “I’ve taken the punches before I’ll take em again & still rise… Because u taught me how to fight by standing up facing life head on while being graceful & dignified thru it all…”
He concluded his post by writing, “We will ride it out together U & I (red heart emoticon) I’ll see u again soon & we will celebrate ur bday together someday… Your loving son. Arjun.”
For the unversed, Arjun’s mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor, passed away in 2012 due to multiple organ failure after battling with cancer and hypertension.
Mona and producer Boney Kapoor are the parents of Arjun and his sister Anshula Kapoor. Mona and Boney were married from 1983 to 1996.
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor was last seen in Mere Husband Ki Biwi, co-starring Rakul Preet Singh and Bhumi Pednekar. The film was a huge box office failure.
Released in February 2025, the film revolves around Ankur, a divorced man, who gets a second chance at love when his college crush, Antara, re-enters his life. However, things get complicated when his amnesiac former wife also returns, confusing.
The actor has not yet announced his upcoming project.
