Actress Rupali Ganguly said she has seen bits and pieces of the upcoming film Dhurandhar 2 (Dhurandhar: The Revenge) and was thoroughly impressed by what she saw, calling every frame amazing.
This early reaction comes as anticipation builds for the sequel’s release in theatres on March 19, 2026.
In a recent interview with NDTV, Rupali, known for her role in Anupamaa, shared that she watched the original Dhurandhar twice in cinemas and loved it.
Rupali said, “I watched Dhurandhar twice in the theatre. What a film. I can’t wait for the second part to come out, and yesterday I saw bits and pieces from the second part as well. Vijay was editing something and we were on a video call. He was like, ‘See this shot, see this shot.’ Oh, what a shot it was. I asked him to rewind it and show it to me again. Every frame is amazing.”
Rupali also recalled how her brother was skeptical about the ‘Shararat’ song. She responded to him, “He kept saying, ‘If I had shot it better, this song would be a hit.’ I was like, ‘Are you mad? This will be a super-duper hit song.’”
Dhurandhar: The Revenge is the follow-up to last year’s blockbuster Dhurandhar, which starred Ranveer in a gritty spy role and became a massive box-office success, widely praised for its action, visuals, and performances.
The sequel, directed by Aditya Dhar, promises to expand the story and return Ranveer in the lead role, with a larger ensemble cast and high-octane sequences.
Apart from them, the film also stars Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles, along with Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, and Danish Pandor in key parts. Dhurandhar performed exceptionally well at the box office, grossing over Rs 1,300 crore worldwide and Rs 1,000 crore domestically. It also became the number one film globally upon its OTT release on Netflix.
