Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has shared a heartfelt note about his famed Mumbai residence ‘Jalsa’, describing it as much more than just a house — a place imbued with love, blessings and memories that span more than three decades.

In a touching post on his personal blog, the 82-year-old actor expressed deep gratitude to his legion of fans, whom he fondly refers to as his extended family, for their unwavering affection and for the moments they spend outside his home each week.

Big B reflected on how the few minutes his fans take out of their busy lives to greet him feel like nothing short of “a divine presence”. He wrote that their blessings have made Jalsa a blessed space, a home that has sheltered not just his family but also the joyous milestones of their lives — from the birth of his children to their weddings, and now seeing the next generation grow up.

“JALSA , the blessings of millions for my home, one that has given me roof for more than 3 decades, one that has blessed my children in their days of birth and their days of wed, one where the children grew up, one where their children are growing up," he wrote.

“One that manifests the joys and happiness of the near and dear, one that adheres to our living, one that brings celebration and existence, in the togetherness of time ever," he concluded.

For decades, Jalsa has been a symbolic landmark of Amitabh Bachchan’s connection with his fans — many of whom gather outside its gates regularly, especially on Sundays, to catch a glimpse of the star and offer their love in person, a ritual that began in the early 1980s. These meet-and-greets have become a cherished tradition not just for the fans but for Mr. Bachchan himself, who often steps out to acknowledge them warmly.
