Bollywood Akshaye Khanna is the flavour of the month with everyone praising his killer performance in superhit movie 'Dhurandhar.' Congratulatory messages are pouring in for the seasoned actor from his peers, fans and actors from the industry.

Now his rumoured ex girlfriend and close friend, Tara Sharma has congratulated her friend on his great achievement.

Tara took to her Instagram and shared a nostalgic picture from their younger days. She is seen posing with Akshay and their set of friends for a lovely pic.

She congratulated Akshaye and admitted that though she hasn't watched the movie yet but is proud of the fact that her friend's entry on the song is going viral.

Tara and Akshaye were school friends and she wrote: "Happy for you, that your quiet hard work is reaping rewards!"

There were reports that Akshaye and Tara had dated for two years.

One while talking with Hindustan Times, Akshaye had addressed the rumours of his affair with Tara and said: "Who are these friends who are saying this? Sure, Tara and I’ve known each other for years and years. But now she’s getting married to her boyfriend soon, she’ll be a very married woman."

Despite their relationship history, Tara and Akshaye have remained good friends till date.
