Actor Ahaan Panday, who became a breakout star for his blockbuster Saiyaara. Soon after the film, he had "one of the most painful surgeries". After suffering an injury, he went from "not being able to move, to not being able to lift."
In an interview with Esquire India, Ahaan opened up about his health and said, “I don’t know if I should say this. I actually got a whole surgery done after the release of Saiyaara last year. And it’s one of the most painful surgeries you can do, with the longest recovery time.”
Ahaan suffered a shoulder subluxation after a mishap on a snowmobile a few years ago. He chose to have the injury fixed since it was preventing him from achieving his fitness objectives. But the doctor cautioned him that following the procedure, his body would "go back to zero," making it "nearly impossible" for him to get the body he wanted for his movie.
He recalled, “I used to feel motivated by actors who had dramatic gym transformations. But that was usually from a certain unhealthy body type to a healthy one. This was different; I went from being injured, to not being able to move, to not being able to lift, to being able to lift.”
He also disclosed that he wore a cast for months without anyone noticing.
He continued by saying that some of his admirers asked his mother, Deanne Panday, on social media because they thought something wasn't quite right. She was questioned about the reason behind her weight loss.
Last year, Ahaan made his Bollywood debut with Saiyaara. He co-starred with Aneet Hadda. The movie, which was directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Akshay Widhani, CEO of Yash Raj Films, made box office history by being the highest-grossing love tale ever.
Ahaan will be next seen in Ali Abbas Zafar's next film.
