This Holi, ZEE5 has released the haunting first look of its upcoming psychological thriller-drama Dalimb, introducing audiences to one of the most intriguing Indian OTT premieres slated for later in 2026.

The film, a collaboration between Hindi ZEE5 and Ellipsis Entertainment, promises to blur the lines between memory and truth, love and loss, reality and illusion — establishing itself as a distinctive addition to the streaming platform’s direct-to-digital lineup.

Dalimb is directed and written by Priya Aven, marking her feature directorial debut after years of experience in the corporate movie space, with dialogue by Varad Bhatnagar and additional contributions from Tanuj Garg.

Speaking about the film, writer-director Priya Aven said , “Dalimb is deeply personal to me, and I cannot wait for the audiences to enter its world. Much has been drawn from events and realities I have witnessed first-hand. It is a pacy, engaging and unsettling thriller with an emotional core that will shock you and move you in equal measure. I have known Tanuj (Garg) for decades as a work colleague, and I was sure about vesting my first child in capable and passionate hands. The association with Ellipsis and Zee5 on my debut feature, has been deeply gratifying. ”

The thriller is set against the backdrop of suburban middle-class Mumbai, and its first look poster — released on Holi — introduces a dramatically different avatar for lead actor Jitendra Kumar, who is best known for his relatable roles in shows like Panchayat and Kota Factory. His character’s intense new persona signals the emotional volatility at the heart of Dalimb.

Speaking about his role the actor said, “ When I heard the narration of Dalimb at the Ellipsis office last year, I was drawn to its honesty and the depth of the character. Suraaj is layered with a very different graph and I feel that the audience will really connect with it. Working with Priya, Tanuj, Atul and the Ellipsis team was a smooth and fulfilling experience. I’m looking forward to the audience watching the film.”

The cast also includes acclaimed actors Priya Bapat, Kshitish Date, Kavin Dave, Sai Prasad, Harish Kulkarni and Sagar Yadav in pivotal roles.

No official release date has been announced yet, but the film is expected to premiere later this year exclusively on Hindi ZEE5, giving subscribers something to look forward to after the festive weekend.
