As Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9 came to an end, only Thanuja Puttaswamy and Kalyan Padala were left in the running. Host Nagarjuna made a dramatic entrance into the Bigg Boss house with a golden suitcase, hinting at a final twist before announcing the winner.
Nagarjuna congratulated both finalists and praised their journey, saying they had spent 15 weeks and 105 days in the house and had done well on all of their tasks. He told them they were "fantastic" and that just getting to this point made them winners in spirit.
The tension was at its highest when Nagarjuna revealed the twist. He said that the golden suitcase held ₹20 lakh. He said it was a one-time offer, and either finalist could take the money and leave the game right away. The stakes were high: the season's original prize money of ₹50 lakh had already dropped to ₹35 lakh after Demon Pavan left with ₹15 lakh. If one of the finalists took the suitcase, the winner's prize would go down to ₹15 lakh.
As Nagarjuna started a tense countdown, the house fell silent. Both finalists stood their ground, even though the amount was tempting. Kalyan Padala thought about his past and said that the money was important to him, but he couldn't give up the title at this point. Thanuja Puttaswamy said the same thing, saying that accepting the offer would betray the trust of the people who had helped her get this far.
Their families were asked for their opinions and fully supported their choices. Nagarjuna watched as both finalists stayed firm, even after giving them nine more seconds to think about it.
The host officially told Bigg Boss and the audience about their choice, showing that they were determined to fight for the Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9 trophy without any problems.
