Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana has ventured into a new musical territory with the release of his first-ever Haryanvi EP, The Heartbreak Chhora, launched today in collaboration with Warner Music India.
The EP marks a significant milestone in Ayushmann's music career, as he boldly explores the Haryanvi pop genre, introducing a fresh sound to his growing fanbase.
This project is full of firsts, as it also features the first time a Punjabi artist has lent their voice to a Haryanvi song. With his signature soft charm, Ayushmann brings a unique touch to the heartbreak anthem, setting it apart from the typical swagger-filled Haryanvi tracks, blending vulnerability with rhythm.
The EP features a standout track that is bound to set new trends in the music video industry. For the first time ever, Ayushmann has released an AI-generated visualiser video, a strikingly creative blend of quirky and visually captivating artistry.
This makes Ayushmann the first mainstream Bollywood artist to have an AI music video, pushing the boundaries of creativity in his music.
Written by Kunwar Juneja and Krishna Bharadwaj, and composed by Jaya Rohilla and Gourov Dasgupta, with Haryanvi consultant Vaibhav Dewan, The Heartbreak Chhora is an energetic and fun-filled track that explores the highs and lows of heartbreak.
The EP also features two other tracks: Ho Gaya Pyar Re, a soulful romantic ballad, and Drive to Murthal, a lively love anthem, showcasing Ayushmann's musical versatility.
Ayushmann shared his excitement about this project, saying, "It’s a great feeling to finally unveil what I’ve been working on over the past few months. I’m a big fan of Haryanvi music and wanted to try new sounds and themes that haven't been explored in this genre, continuing my mission in experimenting with the unknown when it comes to my content."
The EP, The Heartbreak Chhora, is now available for streaming across all major audio platforms.
