Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel has issued a strong warning to her fans after discovering that an imposter is using a fake phone number while claiming to be her. The actress recently took to social media to alert people about the scam, urging them to stay cautious and not fall prey to fraudulent calls or messages made in her name.

In her Instagram Stories, Ameesha shared a screenshot of the suspicious contact and made it clear that the number being circulated does not belong to her. She expressed concern over how easily misinformation and impersonation can spread in the digital space, especially when public figures are involved. Emphasising the seriousness of the issue, she warned fans that the individual behind the fake number could be attempting to scam people by misusing her identity.

Ameesha’s message was direct and firm. She clarified that any communication coming from the fake number should be ignored and reported. Requesting her followers to be vigilant, she also asked them to protect their personal data and avoid sharing sensitive information with unknown contacts, even if they claim to represent a celebrity or their team. Her alert was widely appreciated by fans, many of whom thanked her for speaking up and creating awareness around online fraud.

Cases of impersonation and digital scams have been on the rise, with celebrities often becoming easy targets due to their large fan following. Ameesha’s warning highlights how important it is for people to verify sources before trusting messages or calls, particularly when money or personal details are involved. By publicly addressing the issue, the actress not only safeguarded her own reputation but also helped prevent potential financial and emotional harm to her fans.

On the work front, Ameesha was last seen on the big screen in Gadar 2 opposite Sunny Deol, a film that turned out to be a massive box office success. The actress has also been in the news for talking about the much-anticipated sequel Humraaz 2. In recent interviews, she has expressed confidence in the sequel, citing the strong recall value of the original film and the excitement among audiences for its return.

While discussing her projects, Ameesha has often spoken about the love and support she continues to receive from fans even decades into her career. Incidents like this, however, serve as a reminder of the darker side of digital fame. By taking swift action and warning the public, Ameesha Patel has once again shown that staying alert and informed is the best defence against online fraud in today’s connected world.
