Akshay Kumar wishes 'good luck' to Ajay Devgn and Kajol ahead of Kannappa vs Maa clash, writes "May the power be with you"

Kannappa and Maa are releasing on same date

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated film, Kannappa. The film is releasing on the same day as Kajol's starrer Maa will hit the theatres.

However, Akshay has recently extended his wishes to Kajol and Ajay Devgn.
Akshay took to his Instagram and promoted the upcoming mythological horror in a good-humoured post.

Akshay shared a teaser of Maa on his Instagram Story and gave a shoutout to the film. He wrote in the caption, “Yaar, Ajay, hum dono ki picture aa rahi hai...iss friday. Tu apne fans ki good wishes Kanappa ko bhej de aur main mere Mahadev ki blessings Maa ko (Yaar, Ajay, our movie is coming out...this Friday. You send your fans' good wishes to Kanappa and I will send my Mahadev's blessings to Maa).”

He wrapped up his caption by writing, “Kya bolta hai? Good luck to Kajol and you Bhai. May the power be with you (What say? Good luck to Kajol and you, brother. May the power be with you).”

Both, Maa and Kannappa are scheduled to hit the theatres on June 27.

Produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, and Kumar Mangat Pathak, the upcoming film is directed by Vishal Furia.

Kajol plays a protective and fierce mother who becomes Kali in order to protect her daughter and to end a demonic curse rooted in fear, blood, and betrayal. Directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Subbarayan, Maa also features Indraneil Sengupta, Jitin Gulati, and Kherin Sharma in the key roles.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar will make a special appearance in the upcoming mythological fantasy thriller, Kannappa. He will star as Lord Shiva. The film also stars Vishnu Manchu, Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, and Madhoo in pivotal roles.

Kannappa revolves around a sceptical hunter who attains divine enlightenment through Lord Shiva, undergoing a profound transformation into his ardent disciple.
