PM Modi to rally in TN and Kerala today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make a significant mark in the southern states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu as he gears up to address public rallies later today. In Kerala, PM Modi will address two public meetings in Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur districts as the state gears up for elections for all 20 Lok Sabha seats on April 26. This is PM Modi's sixth visit to the state in this year alone

His previous engagements included a massive roadshow in Palakkad district and a public meeting in Pathanamthitta town, where he rallied support for NDA candidates, as the Bharatiya Janata Party increases its focus on Kerala.

In Thrissur district, PM Modi will participate in a public meeting at Kunnamangalam in the Alathur constituency. He will extend his support to NDA candidates T N Sarasu and Suresh Gopi, who are contesting from Alathur and Thrissur, respectively.

The BJP aims to capitalise on the momentum generated by its candidates, especially considering its historically low representation in the state.

PM Modi's visit to TN

Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu, PM Modi will address an election rally in Tirunelveli. This visit comes amidst Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's two-day tour in Kerala, where he is expected to hold a UDF rally in northern Kozhikode.

In Kerala, where the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) has traditionally dominated, the BJP is striving to expand its footprint.

Similarly, in Tamil Nadu, the BJP is keen on strengthening its position, especially in light of the upcoming assembly by-elections. PM Modi's presence in Tirunelveli underscores the party's commitment to rallying and seeking public support in South India.

As the Lok Sabha elections draw nearer, the political landscape in South India remains dynamic and competitive. With both the BJP and Congress intensifying their campaigns in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, the battle for electoral supremacy in the region promises to be closely contested.
