17 non-NDA, non-INDIA candidates won in 2024 Lok Sabha polls: Who are they?

A total of 17 non-NDA and non-INDIA candidates emerged as winners in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls, the result of which were declared on June 4.

The BJP, for the first time in 10 years, fell short of the majority mark of 272 in the 543-member Lok Sabha but the NDA secured the magic number even as it did not cross the '400 paar' aim it had set for itself given the impressive performance by the opoosition.

While NDA bagged 292 seats, INDIA bloc's tally stood at 234 with Congress almost doubling its numbers compared to 2019.

The BJP is heavily dependent on its key allies, including N Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP in Andhra Pradesh and Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (U) in Bihar, for government formation.

Given that Nitish and Naidu have previously been part of anti-BJP alliances, all eyes are on whether there is a possibility of INDIA bloc forming a government at the Centre with their support. In such a scenario, INDIA would also require support from parties outside their bloc, as well as from the NDA and independent candidates.

Here's a look at 17 non-NDA and non-INDIA candidates who won in the Lok Sabha polls
