National Common Entrance Test (NCET)

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the online application form for the candidates who want to appear for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2024. The NCET examination is conducted by NTA on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for admission to 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected Central/State University/Institutions including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges. The ITEP is a Dual Major Programme -the first major is in Education with School Specific Stage specialization and the second major is in an opted discipline.

Candidates who wish to make a career in the education field are advised to visit the official website of the exam - ncet.samarth.ac.in - and register for the entrance examination. The direct link to register for NCET 2024 is provided below for the reference of the teaching aspirants:

• Online Submission of Application Form: 13 April to 30 April 2024 (up to 11:30 P.M.)
• Last date of successful transaction of fee through Credit/Debit Card/Net-Banking/UPI - 30 April 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M.)
• Correction in Particulars - 02 May to 04 May 2024
• Announcement of the City of Examination - The last week of May 2024 Downloading Admit Cards from the NTA website - 03 days before the actual date of the Examination
• Date of Examination - 12 June 2024 (Wednesday)
• Display of Recorded Responses and Answer Keys - To be announced later on the website

Candidates can follow the general guide provided below to check and apply for the NCET 2024 entrance examination:

1. Open the official website of the examination - ncet.samarth.ac.in
2. Click on the 'Register' link available on the right side of the homepage
3. Carefully read the registration instructions before you start filling NCET application form
4. Tick mark the checkbox that says you have read the instructions and then click on 'Click here to Proceed' button
5. Apply for NCET 2024 online registration by filling in personal information, present address, permanent address, set the password and pin
6. Next, sign in using your application number and password
7. Fill the NCET 2024 online application form by entering details of educational qualification, university/institution/organization and programme selection, test paper details, choose the examination cities, and upload the images and documents (if any).
8. Next, make the NCET 2024 exam fee payment online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, or Paytm Services.
9. Make sure to download a soft copy of the confirmation page for future reference

The NCET 2024 will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode with Objective type with Multiple Choice Questions set in 13 languages, including - English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.
