The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results on, February 16, with 12 candidates securing a perfect 100 percentile in Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.). Rajasthan emerged as the top-performing state with three students in the exclusive toppers' list.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 1 results were released by the NTA on February 16, 2026, marking a significant milestone for over 13 lakh aspiring engineers across the country. The examination, conducted in January 2026 across 658 centres in 326 cities—including 15 international locations—witnessed an impressive attendance rate of 96.26 percent.

India's Top Scorers

A total of 12 candidates achieved the coveted 100 NTA score (percentile) in Paper 1, demonstrating exceptional academic prowess. Among these top performers, 11 belong to the General category, while one candidate secured the perfect score in the OBC-NCL category.

State-Wise Performance: Rajasthan Leads the Pack

Rajasthan emerged as the frontrunner with three students—Kabeer Chhillar, Chiranjib Kar, and Arnav Gautam—securing a perfect 100 percentile. Andhra Pradesh followed closely with two toppers: Narendrababu Gari Mahith and Pasala Mohith.

States with one representative each in the toppers' list include Delhi (Shreyas Mishra), Bihar (Shubham Kumar), Odisha (Bhavesh Patra), Haryana (Anay Jain), Maharashtra (Madhav Viradiya), Gujarat (Purohit Nimay), and Telangana (Vivan Sharad Mahiswari).

Category-Wise Toppers and Special Achievements

Beyond the 100 percentile scorers, the NTA also released detailed category-wise performance data. Narendrababu Gari Mahith from Andhra Pradesh topped the OBC-NCL category with a perfect 100 percentile.

Other category toppers include:

  • Gen-EWS: Shresth Jasoria (Rajasthan) with 99.9992442 percentile
  • SC: Deva Srivedh (Andhra Pradesh) with 99.9992271 percentile
  • ST: Daksh Sehra (Rajasthan) with 99.9938620 percentile
  • PwBD: Arsh Jain (Madhya Pradesh) with 99.9100843 percentile

Ashi Grewal from Haryana emerged as the female topper with an impressive 99.9969766 percentile, though no female candidate secured a spot in the 100 percentile list this session.

Examination Statistics

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination witnessed massive participation:

  • 13,55,293 candidates registered for the exam
  • 13,04,653 candidates appeared, demonstrating the exam's national significance
  • 96.26% attendance rate across all centres
  • 658 examination centres established across 326 cities
  • 15 international cities hosted the exam, including Dubai, Singapore, Washington, and Munich
  • 13 regional languages accommodated diverse linguistic backgrounds
  • The exam was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode over five days: January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28, 2026.

With 12 candidates achieving the perfect 100 percentile and Rajasthan leading the state-wise performance, JEE Main 2026 Session 1 has set a high benchmark for aspiring engineers.
