This year's PCS exam offers a chance to secure one of 246 positions within the state government. These include highly sought-after roles like Deputy Collector (7 posts), District Superintendent of Police (DSP) (21 posts), and Excise Sub-Inspector (ESI) (90 posts). Notably, the 2024 exam reintroduces the DSP position, which was absent in the previous year's recruitment drive.

Exam Schedule and Important Dates

The CGPSC PCS selection process consists of a preliminary exam, a main exam, and an interview. The preliminary exam is scheduled for February 9th, 2025, and will be held in two sessions - 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The main exam will be conducted over four days, from June 26th to 29th, 2025.

Candidates who have already submitted applications can make corrections to their details between December 31st, 2024, and January 2nd, 2025. A final window for corrections with a processing fee of Rs. 500 will be available from January 3rd to 5th, 2025.

The admit card for the preliminary exam is expected to be released by the CGPSC in the last week of January 2025.
