The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 12 Physics Exam 2025 today, February 21, 2025. The exam took place in the morning, starting at 10:30 AM and concluding at 1:30 PM. It was held in offline pen-and-paper mode at various exam centres across the country.

CBSE Class 12 Physics Exam 2025 Pattern

The CBSE Class 12 Physics Exam 2025 had a total duration of three hours, with an additional 15 minutes given for reading the question paper and completing other formalities. The paper consisted of 33 questions divided into five sections. The total marks for the exam were 100, with 70 marks allocated to the theory exam and 30 marks for the practical assessment.

The Physics paper was structured into five sections, each focusing on different types of questions:

  • Section A had multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark.
  • Section B contained very short-answer questions, each worth two marks.
  • Section C included short-answer questions, each carrying three marks.
  • Section D featured long-answer questions, each worth five marks.
  • Section E comprised source-based or case-based questions, each carrying four marks.
