CAT 2025 Registration Begins at iimcat.ac.in

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has officially begun the registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 today, August 1, at 9.45 AM. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website iimcat.ac.in.

CAT is one of the most competitive management entrance exams in India, serving as the gateway to MBA and other postgraduate management programs offered by the prestigious IIMs and several other top B-schools across the country.

CAT 2025 Important Dates
  • CAT 2025 Registration Starts: August 1, 2025 (10:00 AM)
  • Last Date to Register for CAT 2025: September 13, 2025 (5:00 PM)
  • CAT 2025 Admit Card Release: November 5, 2025 (Wednesday)
  • CAT 2025 Exam Date: November 30, 2025 (Sunday)
  • CAT 2025 Result Date: January 2026 (Tentative)

This year, IIM Kozhikode is the official conducting body for CAT 2025. They will be responsible for managing the entire examination process, from registrations and admit cards to the final declaration of results.

CAT 2025 Exam Pattern and Cities
  • Sessions: CAT 2025 will be conducted in three sessions on the same day (November 30).
  • Test Centres: The exam will be held in approximately 170 cities across India.
  • City Preference: Candidates can select any five cities in order of preference while filling out the application form.
CAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for CAT 2025, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university.
  • Final-Year Students: Candidates in the final year of their graduation are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the minimum eligibility by the time of admission.
  • No Age Limit: There is no upper age limit to apply for CAT.
How to Register for CAT 2025: Step-by-step Guide
  • Visit the official website: Go to www.iimcat.ac.in.
  • Click on ‘Register’ to create a user profile.
  • Enter basic details like name, email, mobile number to generate an OTP.
  • Login using the system-generated credentials.
  • Fill in personal, academic, and work experience details in the application form.
  • Choose your preferred IIMs and programs.
  • Select five test cities based on your preference.
  • Upload required documents, including: Recent passport-size photograph, Scanned signature. Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Pay the application fee: Rs 2,400 for General / NC-OBC and Rs 1,200 for SC / ST / PwD candidates
  • Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
