Tata Motors is gearing up to reintroduce the iconic Sierra nameplate in the Indian market. The SUV will be launched on November 25. While there is not much clarity on the positioning of the new Tata Sierra, it carries a distinctive design, blending ruggedness with modern styling cues.
The new Sierra's front fascia is imposing, with a sculpted bonnet and sharp angular lines adding a strong visual character. A blacked-out grille, bearing the Tata logo at the centre and the 'SIERRA' nameplate integrated within, defines the SUV's identity. The LED lighting package includes sleek headlamps, an LED light bar running across the nose, and LED fog lamps that enhance its futuristic appeal.

From the side, the new Sierra looks massive yet sporty. It features dual-tone alloy wheels and a dual-tone exterior colour scheme. Tata has used an interesting colour play on the A, B, C and D pillars, mixing the body colour with black-out theme. While this gives the impression of the classic wrap-around rear glass section seen on the original Sierra, it is actually a visual trick achieved through paint detailing on the pillars and roof. Roof rails, a shark fin antenna, flush-fitting door handles, blacked-out ORVMs and pronounced wheel arches further emphasise its SUV stance.

At the back, the SUV sports a wide tailgate with the Tata badge and a bold 'SIERRA' nameplate. The connected LED taillight strip extends across the rear, complementing the design continuity from the front. Muscular front and rear bumpers add to its butch proportions, underscoring its SUV DNA.
Tata Sierra gets a triple screen set-up.
Over the past few years, Tata has vastly improved its feature package in SUVs. Be it the Nexon, Curvv, Harrier or Safari, they are now loaded with features for the price points they play at. A similar treatment is expected for the new Sierra if we go by the teasers of the SUV shared by Tata till now.

Inside the cabin, we will see a triple screen set-up, integrating a co-passenger screen, an infotainment touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster. Among others, there will be features like Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control and connectivity features.
The SUV is part of Tata's multi-powertrain strategy across its SUV lineup. The new Sierra will have both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) avatars. Initially, the ICE version will make its entry, i.e. on November 25. The EV version of the new Sierra will enter the market next year.
We expect the new Tata Sierra price in India to be in the range of Rs 13.50 lakh to Rs 24 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the Mahindra Thar Roxx and the MG Hector.
