  • Skoda plans 10 launches in India for 2026, including facelifts and RS models.
  • Kylaq SUV contributed 62% to Skoda's record 72,665 sales in India in 2025.
  • Three global models and major Kushaq, Slavia upgrades planned in 2026.

Skoda Auto India, which witnessed its best-ever annual sales performance in the country in calendar year (CY) 2025, is planning 10 launches, including mid-cycle facelifts, variant additions, and the introduction of performance-oriented RS and global models, this year.

While the carmaker showcased the facelifted version of the Kushaq mid-size SUV today, it will add two new variants to the Kylaq compact SUV line-up in the current quarter.

In Q2 CY26, it will introduce the RS version of the premium Kodiaq SUV and update an existing model. In the following quarter, another variant will be added to the Kylaq portfolio along with the launch of what Skoda described as an "action model". In the last quarter, the carmaker will bring RS version of the Octavia premium sedan, a facelifted version of the Slavia mid-size sedan and a global model, which the company did not reveal.

"We will be taking 10 product actions this year. This includes the introduction of three global icons. We have two major upgrades on our volume cars. We upgraded the Kushaq today. The Slavia upgrade is also in the plans. We will also introduce three new variants on the Kylaq. We will introduce some action models across our product range. We will also be upgrading features in one of our models," Skoda Auto India Brand Director Ashish Gupta told Moneycontrol.

"This will be a very busy year with a lot of product news coming in from us," he added.

Skoda currently offers models like the Kylaq, Kushaq, Kodiaq and Slavia in India. Although it launched the Octavia RS in the Indian market last year as a fully built unit (FBU), the model was limited to just 100 units, with all of them getting sold out in merely 20 minutes of pre-bookings.

The carmaker's volumes in India in CY25 were largely driven by a single model, the Kylaq. While the total annual wholesales came in at 72,665 units, the Kylaq accounted for nearly 62%, selling over 45,000 units during the year.

Skoda sold over 35,100 units in India in CY24, nearly 50,000 units in CY23 and more than 53,700 units in CY22.
