New black twist for XSR155: Yamaha launches Metallic Black at Rs 1.59 lakh

The Yamaha XSR155 in the new Metallic Black shade.

India Yamaha Motor has introduced a new 'Metallic Black' colour option for the XSR155 at Rs 1.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The new shade expands the existing XSR155 range and comes with golden upside-down (USD) front forks.

The motorcycle is also available in Metallic Blue, Vivid Red, Metallic Grey and Greyish Green Metallic colour options. The following are their prices (ex-showroom).

XSR155 Metallic Blue - Rs 1.50 lakh

XSR155 Vivid Red - Rs 1.53 lakh

XSR155 Metallic Grey - Rs 1.57 lakh

XSR155 Greyish Green Metallic - Rs 1.59 lakh

XSR155 Metallic Black - Rs 1.59 lakh

The motorcycle was launched in India in November last year and is positioned in the 155cc premium segment. The XSR155 is powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). The engine produces 13.5kW of maximum power and 14.2Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 6-speed transmission equipped with an assist and slipper clutch.

The motorcycle is built on Yamaha's Deltabox frame and features an aluminium swing arm and linked-type monocross rear suspension. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. The model is also equipped with traction control.

The XSR155 rides on 17-inch wheels and carries retro-inspired styling cues combined with a lightweight chassis setup. With the addition of the Metallic Black option, the company has expanded the colour choices available to customers.
