Hero MotoCorp today reported a 12.11% year-on-year (y-o-y) rise in standalone net profit to Rs 1,348.55 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, owing to handsome two-wheeler volumes.

The maker of the Splendor motorcycle had clocked a net profit of Rs 1,202.84 crore in the year-ago quarter.

During the quarter, the company considered the impact of four new labour codes, which came into effect from November 21, resulting in a one time charge of Rs 119 crore.

"The same has been reported as an exceptional item in the financial results," Hero MotoCorp said, adding that normalized profit after tax for Q3 FY26 before considering the one time impact of exceptional item stands at Rs 1,439 crore, a growth of 20% y-o-y.

The company's revenue from operations rose 20.74% y-o-y to a quarterly record of Rs 12,328.38 crore in Q3 FY26 from Rs 10,210.78 crore in Q3 FY25. It also posted its highest-ever parts revenue (Rs 1,673 crore) during the quarter.

In the December quarter, Hero MotoCorp's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) jumped 22.63% y-o-y to Rs 1,810 crore as against Rs 1,476 crore in the year-ago quarter.

The EBITDA margin rose 23 basis points y-o-y to 14.68% in Q3 FY26, in comparison to 14.45% in Q2 FY25. The expansion was supported by a favourable product mix, pricing and operational efficiencies.

"Reinforcing its commitment to shareholder returns, the company has declared an interim dividend of Rs 110 per share," Hero MotoCorp said.

The two-wheeler volumes of Hero MotoCorp jumped 15.91% y-o-y to 16.97 lakh units during the quarter under review from 14.64 units in the same quarter last year. The handsome volumes in Q3 FY26 were driven by a robust demand during the festive season.

"Performance during the quarter was underpinned by new model launches across all categories. In the internal combustion engine (ICE) scooter segment, solid growth of 55% y-o-y was witnessed," the company said. Its electric vehicle (EV) arm, Vida, closed the quarter with 11% market share, while the overall exports grew 41% y-o-y, supported by new market entries and portfolio expansion.

The company's Chief Financial Officer, Vivek Anand, said: " Hero MotoCorp delivered a positive growth performance in Q3 FY26 with healthy double‐digit growth in volumes and retail momentum. Steady focus on operational excellence, product mix optimisation, consumer-centricity and innovation remained our core pillars, enabling consistent financial performance during the quarter."

"Conducive macro-economic factors and favourable GST 2.0 tailwind helped in the revival of rural demand, which further drove consumer traction for motorcycles and growth for the economy," he added.
