Launched - 2012 TVS Phoenix in India

TVS has launched their new executive commuter Phoenix in the 125cc segment in India. Priced at Rs 51,000 for the drum brake version and Rs 53,000 for the disc brake trim ex-Chennai, the Phoenix will go head on against the Bajaj Discover 125ST, Honda Stunner and Hero Ignitor. The Phoenix boasts of a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled EcoThrust engine which makes 11PS of power and 10Nm of torque, complemented by a 4-speed gearbox. 67kmpl fuel efficiency is what the company claims for the Phoenix. As far as features are concerned, the Phoenix has digital instruments with a service due indicator, low battery reminder, hazard lights, engine kill switch, LED pilot lamps, alloy wheels and a petal disc in the front.

Speaking at the launch, Venu Srinivasan, chairman, TVS Motor company said, We have developed an all new engine for this motorcycle. It complements several unique features to ensure premium ride quality'. With this launch, we hope to increase our market share in the segment. This launch also completes our motorcycle product portfolio.
