The Indian rupee declined in the early trade on Monday. It opened lower by 21 paise at 67.85 per dollar against 67.64 Friday.Pramit Brahmbhatt of Veracity said, "Optimism will continue in domestic equity market as we saw rebound and optimism prevailing in global equity market.""On back of this we will see selling in dollar thus by strengthening rupee. Range for the day will be 67.50-68/dollar," he said.The dollar gained after a jobs report that supports bets the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates this year.
