Mumbai, Nov 4 (PTI) Moser Baer Clean Energy (MBCEL), the renewable energy vertical of Moser Baer Project, today said its 23.8mw solar farm at Lauta in Germany has been commissioned. The plant, which uses crystalline silicon technology, will feed in 65,500 units daily into 20kv local substation, the company said in a statement. The project has been constructed with long-term debt funding from DKB Bank, Germany which has also financed its Thuringen and Meissens projects. "We have set ourselves a target of commissioning about 200mw internationally by next year, thus further entrenching ourselves as the most preferred solar developer globally," Chief Operating Officer Lalit Jain said. The company commissioned 70mw of solar farms in October itself, the release said. The solar farm has been commissioned using SMA central inverters with Conecon GmbH as the construction partner. "This solar PV plant will result in carbon emission savings of around 13,200 tonne annually and would supply electricity to over 45,000 homes," Jain added.
