Reliance Communications , Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Essar have confirmed bidding for the nationwide 3G licences, reports CNBC-TV18. Idea Cellular is also learnt to be in the 3G licence fray. Sources said Etisalat DB has bid for 3G licence. The last date for 3G and broadband wireless access bids is March 19. Qualcomm has bid for nationwide broadband wireless access license. Tata Tele Internet, Tikona Digital, and Spice Group is also likely to bid for broadband wireless access. Bharti Airtel has applied for third-generation mobile spectrum bid in all of the country's 22 telecom zones, a spokesman for the leading mobile operator said on Thursday. India will auction three slots each of third-generation wireless spectrum in most of its telecoms zones, including the lucrative Delhi and Mumbai regions, from April 9, the telecoms ministry said last month.
