House Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee on Friday published a set of photographs from the estate of financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and among the images drawing attention is a picture showing a bowl of **novelty condoms featuring a cartoon of US President Donald Trump with the phrase “I’m HUUUUGE!” printed on the wrappers. The photos are part of a much larger trove of roughly 95,000 images obtained from Epstein’s estate as the committee reviews materials tied to Epstein’s network and activities.
The release, comprising 19 images in the initial batch and additional photos the same day, shows a range of items and people linked socially or historically with Epstein. The condom image appears alongside several pictures featuring high-profile figures including President Trump, former President Bill Clinton, tech billionaire Bill Gates, media personality Woody Allen, political strategist Steve Bannon and members of European royalty.
Committee Democrats emphasised that the newly disclosed photos come from the extensive body of material provided by Epstein’s estate and are intended to shed light on the late financier’s associations. Representative Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the Oversight Committee, described the release as part of an effort toward transparency and accountability in understanding Epstein’s connections with powerful individuals.
However, the release has ignited political pushback. Republican lawmakers and the White House have criticised the selection and framing of the photos as “cherry-picking” and politically motivated. In response to the disclosures, President Trump dismissed the significance of the images, noting that Epstein was widely photographed with many prominent figures and saying he was unaware of the specific photos. Trump reiterated that his past social interactions with Epstein dated back decades and that he had distanced himself long before Epstein’s crimes emerged publicly.
News outlets report that none of the released photos in this batch directly show illegal conduct or underage individuals, and the context of when and where the images were taken is largely undetermined. The Oversight Committee has redacted the faces of accompanying women in some images, a decision that has itself prompted questions about selective censorship.
The inclusion of novelty Trump-branded condoms among the photographs has prompted social media commentary and broader discussion about the nature of the trove’s contents. While the image does not imply criminal behaviour by Trump or suggest direct involvement in any wrongdoing, it is illustrative of the breadth and eclectic nature of materials in Epstein’s possession. Experts and lawmakers say much of the public interest lies in what the full set of files may reveal when released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act and related legal mandates.
As of now, additional photos and documents are expected to be released in the coming days under the deadline set by recent legislation requiring disclosure, and committee members continue to urge comprehensive transparency from the US Department of Justice.
