Gehlot, while informing the public that the number of COVID cases has increased in the past few days, said he too has tested positive for it.
Right to Health Bill passed by Ashok Gehlot says neither government nor private hospitals and clinics can refuse a person seeking emergency treatment, adding that the state government will bear the cost of the treatment provided by the hospital. The doctors however, have asked the government to define the term ‘emergency’ properly.
This is the first time since 2008 that new districts have been carved out in Rajasthan, taking the number of districts in the state to 50.
The Rajasthan Right to Health Bill seeks to give residents of Rajasthan the right to avail free healthcare services from hospitals, clinics and laboratories. This will include private establishments as well.

LPG gas cylinders will be given at Rs 500 to 76 lakh families, while 100 units of free electricity will be allowed to domestic consumers. An inflation relief package of Rs 19,000 crore was also announced.
The package includes free food packets every month to poor families, LPG cylinders for Rs 500 under the Ujjwala Scheme and free electricity up to 100 units per month to domestic consumers.
As soon as the chief minister made the first two announcements, which featured in Budget 2022-23, the Opposition began creating a ruckus and stormed into the well of the House.
Pilot, who has been locked in a power tussle with Gehlot for long, had recently said the return of Congress to power was due to the struggle of the party leaders and workers from 2013 to 2018, when he was the PCC chief.
Ashok Gehlot said the employees are an integral part of the state government and play an important role in taking the benefits of public welfare schemes run by the government to the last mile.
The budget session of the state assembly is scheduled to begin on January 23.
An official spokesperson said that during the meeting, Chief Minister Gehlot said that the meeting of the G-20 Commerce and Investment Ministers Group is important for the entire country
Speaking at a Covid review meeting at his residence, the chief minister said face masks also protect against various other diseases like tuberculosis.
"For the poor and BPL families, and for those linked to the Ujjwala Yojana, a study will be conducted to categorise them. From April 1 onwards, the cylinder which now costs Rs 1,040 will be provided at Rs 500 to them," Gehlot said.
The march will give access to people to put forward their grievances and ministers will get rid of their health issues such as diabetics and cholesterol, Rahul said.

The remarks have further widened the fissures in the Congress party in Rajasthan, where Assembly polls are slated next year. The Bharat Jodo Yatra, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, is also set to enter the desert state.
